These are pretty awesome at any time of the day. Full of good fats and proteins for long lasting energy if you’re after a nutritious breakfast, but just as good for an afternoon snack or for any chocoholic out there!

Chocolate Hot Cakes

Gluten, dairy, refined sugar, grain free.
Prep Time 7 mins
Cook Time 20 mins
Servings 14 hot cakes

Ingredients
  

  • 1 banana mashed
  • 3 eggs
  • cup almond meal
  • ¼ cup tapioca flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • dash of real vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp ground psyllium husk
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp collagen
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips sugar and dairy free

Instructions
 

  • Mash the banana in a bowl and whisk in the eggs.
  • Add all the other ingredients and mix together well. It should be reasonably thick.
  • Heat a frying pan to a medium heat with your choice of fat and place spoonfuls of mixture in, about 2cm thick.
  • Flip and repeat when bubbles begin.
